"We arrived Saturday mid day, greeted by a lovely young man who ontriduced himself and showed us to our room, advised about pub opening times and food services, lovely cooked breakfast on both days of our stay. Great fun at pub quiz on Saturday evening with John and his speed quiz."
"We live locally but hadn't been in for a while. Brilliant Saturday night pub quiz, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Pictures of the food look great too. We'll definitely be back regularly, if you haven't been in recently I'd urge you to give it a try."
"An absolutely lovely little hotel, just a hop away from the city centre, the room was clean, spacious and comfortable, with an en suite bathroom. The breakfast (included in the price of the room) was delightful, with plenty of options ranging from cereals and pastries to a full English (and even a vegetarian English). The food was delicious and the staff, both during the breakfast and in the evening at the bar were extremely polite, friendly and professional. All around a wonderful little place, and one I'll certainly be returning to."
"My partner and I visited on New Year's Eve/New Year's Day and we had the most amazing stay, in no small part thanks to The Heworth! Since we first set foot in the building, the staff were unbelievably friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and in great condition, the accommodation was in a prime location, just a short walk from the Minster and finally, we were invited to join the NYE celebrations, with a complementary glass of prosecco and a real positive atmosphere. I cannot praise the staff enough and would highly recommend to anyone looking to visit York and/or the surrounding area!"
