"Don't expect to be greeted on arrival. I had to phone twice to gain entry, and due to worn keypad numbers at the front door, a difficult to operate room keypad, stiff cold fingers and aging eyesight and hearing, I found the process difficult. The room was clean, quiet and well stocked with tea and toiletries, but the radiator was turned off (in January!) and TV reception was very poor. For a one night stay it was adequate, but no more than adequate. At least I was able to get a good dinner at the Winning Post pub over the road."

"Lovely spacious room with all needed facilities. Kettle, hot drinks, good heating, toiletries, towels etc. provided. I booked in for one night very last minute for work and it was near perfect for my needs. I would say that the walls are thin so I felt very aware of that when on a Zoom meeting at 9pm! The check in process was easy but it did feel very surreal to not have any face to face contact with staff as it was all done over the phone. Lovely location and great pub over the road serving good food."

"We paid £144 for a double room which doesn't justify the price. Firstly, it is outrageous that on a cold winter day, the heaters don't work. The room was freezing so we had to use the electrical heaters, luckily already provided. Unfortunately, they are quite noisy and not safe to be plugged in during the night. The bathroom was even colder so very difficult to shower. The walls are very thin and generally the room is not well isolated so you can hear the neighbours as they would be sitting in your room. Secondly, cleaning services could be improved as well. Thirdly, although I appreciate the flexibility of the host regarding leaving the baggage until check in/ after check out, you have to call the host to enter the house after check out time if you need to collect your bag. And make sure you take all the 3 numbers, because they might not answer at the only phone number provided on the front door (luckily, we had all of them written down). The plus of this accommodation is the location, 15min from the city centre and 15min from the train station. Quite a quiet area, so the sleep is not disrupted by traffic or street noise."

"I have spent a single night at the guest house in early October and was fully satisfied with the services. My room was perfectly clean and came fully equipped, area was quiet with low traffic so I could rest comfortably. The owners were quite flexible and communicative, I really appreciated how I could move in to my room even after the official check-in time as my train got delayed."
