"We have just returned from a 1 night stay at The Grand and would 100% recommend it. It is a beautiful place in a fab location! The staff were all lovely. It was very clean. "What a great stay from start to finish. Wonderful hotel with fantastic staff. Very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Great location not far from Railway station & a short walk into the city centre. The rooms were lovely, we stayed in a twin executive & felt very luxurious. Beds great, comfortable & very clean & spotless. Thank you for a memorable stay in York, we will be back again."
"Before we get started, let’s talk about Wayne. He was the first person who greeted us when we arrived and I just knew it was going to be a great stay. What a lovely man, so friendly and welcoming and much appreciated after a long drive. Pleased to say that all the staff we encountered were also super helpful and made us feel very welcome. Our room was brilliant, very spacious and immaculate. Super kingsize bed was very comfy and the bathroom was also large and had a great shower. The hotel has some great facilities - I used the spa and gym which is actually pretty well equipped and included with the price of the room (treatments cost extra). We ate at the restaurant in the evening and had no complaints whatsoever - again fantastic staff. Located in the centre of York it has everything on its doorstep. Would i stay there again and recommend to others? Absolutely! you can’t go wrong. Thanks again to all the staff (especially my new pal Wayne!)."
"One of my favourite hotels ever. The reception staff are really warm and welcoming. We stayed in one of the new, modern rooms, and it was beautifully decorated with a luxurious feel. The bathroom was a good size, and the blue/marble decor was really pretty. The bed was very comfy. And the breakfast was great as well. When we were there they had salted caramel shortbread in the rooms, which was to die for, and much better than lots of hotels’ standard biscuit offerings. The hotel is well-located, a short walk away from the train station. Overall, I loved this place and would recommend it! It made our stay in York really special."
