Reviews
"Great beach with miles of clean sand. Fantastic scenery. Less packed than Inch beach. We spent about an hour on the beach. A bit tricky to find a parking spot but that’s worth it"
"I didn't even find the place. I think the point on Google maps is off. The street was really small and going nowhere. No beach anywhere. It was a nightmare driving back to the mainstreet."
"A beautiful and secluded stretch of sand that sits quietly behind the shelter of bigger Rosbeigh. The Laune River enters the Atlantic at Dooks so the clear water meets the brine."
"Strange pipe with water running out of it even though it hadn't rained in over a week. Looks like some sort of grey water being discharged into the ocean. Parking was impossible as well."
"This beach is not a typical tourist attraction. There are holiday homes in the area but there are less people. When the tide is out you can walk to Rossbeigh. It has a beautiful sandy beach, lots of seashells to collect and sometimes you're lucky and find some sea glass. If you like beaches that are off the beaten track but are ideal for walking, swimming etc then Dooks is the beach for you. Very clean, water is clear and not as windy as Rossbeigh. These photos were taken 11/06/2021"
