"I popped in here on the road from Limerick to Cork as I had to take a work call and needed somewhere that was comfortable and quiet. I went to the restaurant with a request for a cup of coffee and somewhere to take a call. the girl serving at the bar directed me to one of their snug lounges so I would not be interrupted and she would drop the coffee down to me. The service here I found to be exceptional and friendly. so much so, I felt the need to write this review to highlight the kindness and generosity of the staff."

"Had a room booked to attend a concert in the hotel. Upon arrival we were told we needed credit cards with the same name in which the tickets were booked with (they were purchased using a debit card). Despite having IDs and debit cards with us, this still wasn't acceptable by reception. Ive travelled to numerous countries around the world and have never needed a credit card. Hotel ruined a Christmas present and I definitely would not recommend this hotel to anybody."

"We stayed with a family group. The staff were very friendly but the service did not match a four star hotel. We booked dinner in the restaurant and very given a very limited menu. We asked for the a la carte and the waiter never heard of such a thing. Then asked if we could have something from the bistro bar menu. They said they couldn't facilitate that. So we were limited to the very restricted restaurant offering. Strangely there was a better selection on the children's menu. Breakfast was also somewhat limited compared to other similar hotels. There was no brown bread option. I had to ask for brown soda bread which when asked they did bring 2 slices but I would expect it to be available as a matter of course. Overall I would say there are better hotel options out there."

"Charleville Park Hotel was a warm, comfortable, clean place to stay. Our room was spacious, with good lighting , a clean, well-stocked bathroom, large window with view of a small courtyard, and plentiful tea, coffee and bottled water provided. The TV had a handful of stations. USB charging points were beside the reading lamps. Our bed was comfortable and although we didn't require them, extra blankets were in the wardrobe. The corridor to the bedrooms was spotless, as was the reception area. Breakfast was a pleasant experience on both mornings, with helpful and friendly staff on duty. There was a good choice of cooked food as well as cereals, pastries, bread/toast, yogurts and fruit. Tea/coffee was ordered and arrived promptly, and was plentiful. We dined in the bar on both evenings. On the first occasion, we were not so hungry, and ordered starters,and were very pleased with the portion size, the quality and the service. The service on the second evening was not as attentive, and for this reason, I dock one star. (There was a wedding reception as well as other family receptions being held that evening). Although we felt the service was a little disappointing , the food was of a good standard. We found that menu pricing in the bar is consistent with other hotels and bars at the moment. Despite the 'busyness' of the hotel due to the time of year (school holidays, Christmas, weddings), we found that our sleep wasn't disturbed, and the breakfast service flowed smoothly. Parking was plentiful. It is also possible to walk from the hotel into Charleville, and to visit the shops, cafes etc. Although we had intended to use the leisure facilities, we did not have the time, but we would like to return to do so! Overall, we had an enjoyable, restful break at Charleville Park Hotel, and would happily return in future. I would recommend this hotel to friends."

"The rooms are fine - exactly what you would expect. The food is below average which is unfortunate. The staff are good. The leisure facilities are fantastic. I had stayed here a few times before I tried the leisure facilities for the first time but have used them on every visit since!"
