"Jamie and Daniel were great. We were let down at the last minute (in high summer) and they managed to find us a plot at short notice. The campsite was great, kept in very good order with an eclectic mix of accommodation types, plus a campfire for sing songs, all the usual facilities kept very clean. Oh! and West Cork was pretty good also..."
"What a lovely campsite! It's an attractive site which is well maintained, nicely set out with free electric hook up. The family that runs & owns the place couldn't be nicer or more helpful... The facilities are spotlessly clean if a little small, ie 2 toilets & two showers for the ladies & the same for the men but it's a small campsite & they do respectfully ask that activity such as styling hair & application of make-up be restricted to your own space in an effort to combat this. Situated beside the main road to Castletownbere the site is well located however a day out at the beach or a local attraction ie Bere Island, Bantry Market, etc involves a little travel, usually about 20mins journey time. There is access to a river for water activities which is just over the busy road & several route maps for walkers. There's lots to do in the area & plenty of information's available in the campers kitchen . Well behaved dogs are allowed (when booked in advance) so long as they're kept on a short lead AT ALL TIMES & YOU PICK UP THEIR POO!!! Thank you Jamie & Daniel for a lovely time. We'll definitely be booking again!"
"We stayed here in September. Daniel was very friendly and welcoming and the site is well located to explore the Beara Peninsula. Facilities are great, there is a communal kitchen and dining roon if needed, and lots of guidance for walks and cycle rides. Near to Healy Pass which is a fantastic bike ride. Highly recommended and definitely one we will use again."
"Nice small quiet camping with spotless clean facilities and perfectly maintained. Great and friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere, without noises or partygoers like in another campsites around (at least in mid a June weekend). Very close to great hikes and perfect to start Beara Cycling Routes. We left so happy after a weekend away in West Cork. I won't hesitate recommending it and would definitely come back."
"My family and I spent the weekend at Hungry Hill Lodge. We reserved an ensuite room. The entire camping area is large and well-kept, and it looks even better in real life than it does on the pictures. A well-kept lawn. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. They gave us numerous recommendations for all of the local landmarks and amenities. Excellent communication. I appreciated that they were considerate enough to keep us updated on some events that were happening on our route so that we could make changes in good time. If you're planning to go to Bearra Peninsula in May/June take mosquito protection spray."
