"Hotel from outside looks really nice. It is located very close to bus stop so it's really easy to get there from airport or City centre. Nearest shop is about 300m from hotel. Inside is a bit other story... Carpet on the floor is dirty. Our room was quite spacious but needs a solid cleaning. The shelves in the wardrobe were dirty so we had to keep our clothes in our suitcases. There was dirt and dust under the desk, behind the cupboard and around the corners of the room. The radiators were half cold and the bathroom window opened by itself do we had one really cold night... On the plus side there is a kettle, mini coffee machine, coffee, tea, sugar and milk in the room. Dining room was poor too ... no plates, dirty cups and glasses and cutlery. Unfortunately, the garbage was taken out only once, even though we were there for a few days, so the baskets were almost spilling out... We will definitely not come back there and I leave my opinion for others for consideration."
"Very bad for parking, there was a lot of roadworks going on outside situated on a main road so we had to park in a street a bit of a walk away, not ideal with suitcases in the end we parked near to a school, think it was called Roseburn street, (free) Didn't see any staff there to ask for more toilet rolls, milk sachets, tea bags, coffee etc...Good job we brought our own. On the outside of Edinburgh so needed to get a bus into the centre, not much around that area so wouldn't stay again. Also had problems logging on to their WiFi & nobody to ask about sorting it out!!"
"For a hostel, it was absolutely amazing!! The space in the bedroom's was extremely impressive, I've been in a hostel in London working, like I was in this one, and the difference is just impressive, the heating bill must be sky high looool because it was constantly warm " loved it " bed was abit too soft for my liking, shower was nice, didn't see any staff, kind of let you do whatever, unless you need something atmosphere is calm chilled and relaxed, I got work again in Edinburgh and I'm going back too this hostel/hotel I say that because it just feels like a hotel " easy 4star hotel ""
"It isn't a hotel, more like a hostel. There's no reception desk and I didn't see any staff while I stayed (2 nights). You let yourself in with a kecode, retrieve your key from a keysafe and make your way to the room. The room was OK. The sheets and duvet were stained which is off putting and the bed was big but dipped in the middle. The bathroom has been cleaned but there's only so much you can do with a building in need of updating throughout. The shower was hot but there was a huge dint in the bath enamel which was off-putting. Also a shower curtain rather than a screen which felt v budget. Pros: near city. Good bus links. Felt safe in my room. Cheap compared to other places. Cons: not as clean, modern and done up as I'd expect. No visible staff. Bedding and bed needed a serious upgrade. Room corners need cleaning as did the bathroom bin lid. Bathroom needs new bath, new plug in sink (no plug). Overall, if you're not fussed about modern, mod cons, and you aren't phased by a bit of dilapidation, it's a good deal. Especially if you're out all day. I personally wouldn't stay there again but I think they've done their best with a budget."
"I stayed there with family for 4 nights. The location of the hotel is nice, not so far from the city center, easy walk to center, and bus stops just a few meters away. Restaurants and shops close by. Very nice building with an agreeable garden. The room we stayed is big, a good family room with a nice bathroom, however the carpet wasn't very clean and definitely the corners of the room need a profound real cleaning, it was dirty and pieces of dirty paper on the floor. Parts of the ceiling indicated that could fall. We could not open the windows to get some fresh air on the room, no possibility to open it, which wasn't nice. No desk service however a staff member asked if we wanted more towels, coffee and or tea. Very nice idea the coffee espresso machine in the room. It wasn't particularly cheap our stay so we had expect a better service. I think that there's room for improvement like: better cleaning of rooms and at least another cleaning during stay, available hand and floor towels on the bathroom."
