"Unfortunately we didn't get chance to use all the facilities due to time constraints. But the welcome we received was refreshing, polite , & very helpful. The lady ordered us a taxi whilst we went to our room to freshen up and called us when it arrived. The room was spotlessly clean with great washing facilities and a massive comfortable bed ( never seen one that size) . Breakfast fast was perfectly adequate and they even cooked me a couple of veggie sausages as well upon request . I'd definitely use again"
"Comfortable bed, clean room. Decent location on outskirts of city with car parking for 100 vehicles. Bus stop 2 min walk from reception with frequent services until around midnight. Reception staff good. Check in simple. Bathroom looks nice, plenty of hot water, but no extraction and gets damp: water damage to bathroom door. No A/C. Radiator works: windows open a crack but on to noisy road. Would be unpleasant in warmer weather. Breakfast was fair value: cheaper if ordered day before. Nothing special but will keep you going rest of the day. Breakfast staff very good. Major down-side of hotel is noise. First night we stayed there was a party in a function room either above us or to the side. Hard to tell as it basically turned our room into the inside of a drum. We had turned in about 11pm, it went on til 2am. Did not complain as we were out early and figured it was a one-off problem. However, on the second night we stayed, there was furniture being moved around above us, heavy footsteps, running bangs and crashes, and this went on into early hours again. Too tired to complain but put me off coming back to be honest. Value hotel, if you can afford to spend more money, go somewhere else; if you can’t, here is a good budget option. Just see if you can ask for a quiet room. We would have if not so exhausted."
"The location of the hotel was pretty good, it's very well communicated with Edinburgh city centre and the regions by public transport. Beds are big and comfortable. Our bathroom was new and clean, hygiene staff was really nice and there was everyday service. Regarding food we only had breakfast and there was some variety. If you're a vegan and soy intolerant be prepared that there will be nothing for you except some fruit, cereals or toast and jam. Before we came to the hotel I asked twice for some vegan dairy or meat alternatives via email and there was no answer. There was only a soy milk. When I asked for some oat milk in the reception i saw the staff rolling their eyes at me and heard that I ''can buy it myself'. After coming back the following day they offered me a cow's lactose free milk. On the new years morning no senior staff, no fruits or jams available even after asking for same. Tin general this hotel is made out of the cartoon box. You can hear all your neighbours conversation. Not to mention about laugh or kids playing. All the doors are not soundproof, you can hear them banging all around the hotel 24/7. Prepare good earplugs. Keep an eye on the bed linen as it might have some stains. Also hygiene staff have no trolleys so they keep 'clean' towels or bed linen on the floor. No bottled water available in the hotel room or in the reception."
"It's a nice hotel. I'm sorry that I can't comment on the rooms, bar or restaurant as I attend Slimming World meetings here on a Friday morning. The location is good for visiting Edinburgh. The bus stop is close by. Maybe a 4-5 minute walk. The airport bus number 200, the numbers 1, 21, and 26 will take you to different parts of Edinburgh within 20 -30 minutes. Hope this helps."
"Not the prettiest Hotel on the outside but Brill inside, clean, tidy and well appointed rooms. Excellent breakfast and bar and a spa with swimming pool, sauna/steam room and a decent gym make this a very comfortable hotel for a stay. Exterior windows could have done with a clean however overall enjoyed my stay"
