"I'm sure as a sports shop if just fine filled with over priced items sold by underpaid young people struggling to get by on the pittince paid by a uncaring soleless retail empire but I was passing by on my bus home from work when I saw that there was one of those mini GAME stores inside the store and I wanted to see what it was like so disappointing what I saw was barely a GAME store a shadow of the once grates of the high street such a pity never mind I had to make my way though a forest of things made by tiger economy children for next to nothing the entire experience left a bad taste in my mouth NOTHING TO DO WITH THE STAFF BTW! I felt that I need to shout that last bit coz it's true and I don't want anything bad to come to the workers."
"From the minute, the aroma with the store was nothing less than terrifying, the guy working at the football boot area downstairs was quite possibly the most condensing, rude and nasty gentleman I have ever experienced in my whole life, could not have been less enticed to help us, and was just in general a really unhelpful man. The customer service throughout the entire store was very poor for such a large organisation. Mike Ashley would be ashamed. Kind Regards, Odsonne Edouard"
"Very small. Limited stock. Limited sizes. Best to order on line . Can't attend the store hoping to buy something specific. May not be there. Staff are friendly though . For a city centre store it is rather poorly presented. I suppose the building design and protection laws prohibit a more glamorous showpiece but it does give the overall impression of being a bit run down."
"I have shopped with this company over many years online and in store . I would say the Fort Kinnaird Branch is pleasant and the staff are friendly and happy to help. I recently visited the Princes St branch and it is awful. I went in fairly early (9.30 am) the shop was empty but I struggled to find staff to assist me with trainers ? So a lot of time spent standing around waiting or looking for staff. Out of 4 staff members that assisted only one was friendly and helpful. The other 3 looked like they were fed up and disinterested , they came across rude . 2 of them told me there were no sizes without even checking the system? I gave up leaving with one item, when I had planned on buying a lot more. Very recently I ordered trainers online, they were wrongly advertised as a different model? Despite filling the returns form, including a note and my Receipts as proof of cost for Return carriage they failed to refund my return carriage costs which they are obliged to refund under the circumstances. Apparently they didn’t receive any notes? It took several emails to make them understand ? They then offered me a voucher which I refused . I eventually received my cash back . I would advise you never to shop with them in store or online . They make you pay all delivery fees but when there is a problem whether it’s your own or theirs they make you jump through hoops to receive your cash back? Yet the process for them to receive your cash is so swift and easy? They do not care about customers or their staff, why else are they so miserable? I can highly recommend “sports shoes “ for all your athletic footwear . They are a pleasure to deal with . And also “start fitness” for good deals on sportswear and shoes . They’re also very professional !"
"Awful awful awful avoid shopping online and if you do and you want to make a return in store they only offer you a voucher forget about getting your money back,if you want your money back you have to pay for return at the post office for sending the item back!!! Also paid for next day delivery which it never came next day and they can’t do anything about it. I WILL NEVER EVER SHOP AT SPORTS SIRECT EVER AGAIN!!"
