"Great value for money but hotel feeling dated and cooked breakfast could be better. Rooms at roadside are noisy and windows rattle when buses drive by. Specify a room at the rear which is a lot quieter and has nice views of Arthur's Seat."
"Staff were lovely, welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was good and tasty, it had a good selection. The location is good too. Easy drive to the centre, or a walk or a bus trip. The only downside is you get what you pay for. It’s relatively cheap in comparison to others. I maybe have higher standards than I should for a cheap hotel but I do expect some form of cleanliness. There was mould on the window and the glazing must be single or something because every morning there would be a puddle of water on the windowsill. The bedroom I was given just had a bed and a desk, desk chair and a built in rail and shelf. There was a lot of empty space and not a lot of natural lighting so it was very dark in the room. The lights in the room weren’t very bright either. The bathroom as well had no extraction fan or no way for steam to escape so it smelt of damp and the seal around the shower was also broken so water was defo leaking underneath. However apart from that I had a good stay."
"We had a very warm welcome to the room was available early at no extra charge and we able to relax at once. Breakfasts are good value, staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel is conveniently situated beside a shopping centre and on several bus routes into the city centre"
"I wanted a reasonably priced hotel for my stay in Edinburgh. I was happy with it being a little way out of town as it meant free parking. The bedroom it's clean but the bathroom wasn't. I ended up cleaning the basin myself and right before I left I noticed hairs on the back of the bathroom door and the wall behind it."
"Very pleasant helpful staff. Great location for our trip. Close to shopping centre & bus stop. Room basic but clean and tea/coffee making facilities in room. Soap & shower gel supplied. All good."
