"My partner and I went for a late valentine's weekend to this hotel and we couldn't be happier. Staff were extremely helpful from the moment we checked in to checking out. I suppose the only very slight downfall is the location from the centre of Edinburgh but it is only 10 minutes on a bus or car so not bad at all. Room was clean and tidy, pool is a decent size and the sauna/steam room was an extra bonus as well. Buffet style breakfast was lovely as well and can't thank the hotel staff enough for how friendly and helpful they are."
"Room temp was a bit low and the thermostat would not adjust it. The heating towel rack remained cold. Having said that the rooms were very clean, there was a great shower with plenty of hot water, the beds were very comfy and the duvet very warm. A good location for the city and plenty of parking available. We only had breakfast on site and the was great."
"Not sure how this hotel received 4 stars. It’s definitely giving 2 stars / budget vibes. No phone in room to contact reception, no lotion in bathroom, no hand towels, no iron. The rooms are missing basic requirements. Had to change rooms because when we arrived at the one we were given, the door was left open/unlocked. It didn’t feel secure and anyone could have left something inside prior to our arrival. Also if you want a room with one bed only you don’t get access to the pool or gym. Marketing team could revamp these bizarre room package offerings."
"The hotel itself was lovely and clean. No issues with the room and hotel staff were lovely. The restaurant was basic I wouldn't eat there unless I was very hungry. The breakfast in the morning wasn't great and not much left at 940am when breakfast runs till 1030. No decaf tea in the rooms or restaurant it's just little things like this that that make the stay perfect!"
"Unfortunately the hotel did not meet our expectations. The Pool and Spa facilities were good and I did make use of these at a cost of £5 per day per room. The TV in the room was a decent size, bed was comfy and shower was also pretty good. Although the hotel is slightly outside the city centre there were good bus links that take around 15 minutes to reach the main parts. This is unfortunately where the good points end. The room itself was not very clean when I arrived. There were cobwebs all around the window and there was a build up of dust/debris in the corner. This included a nail which would have gone straight into my foot had I not been aware enough! The housekeeping was not up to standard. The bed was never properly made and the fresh towels were just dumped on floor in the room and not in the bathroom where they should go. I have stayed in 2/3 star hotels which were far cleaner than here. The food although not bad was very overpriced for the quality. I have seen similar reviews mentioning this. Overall while not an entirely bad stay I would probably not come back here again should I visit Edinburgh in the future."
