"Marc, the manager, provided the WORST service we ever have had at any stay anywhere...Ever! Marc is a rude, mean, and belligerent person who should not be in hotel industry. Do NOT stay here! We stayed here this Summer and he lied to us, was rude to us, showed up 25 minutes late for our check-in without apologizing and when we complained about issues with our room, he verbally attacked us and sent hateful email reply. He turned our Anniversary into a horrible experience in Edinburgh. I see other reviewers with the same problems, and they always respond RUDELY to anyone having a problem or complaining. They do not apologize for your experience which absolutely reinforces the point that they do not care about you as a guest. Do not stay here! . And case in point to my above comments is the response from the Owner, Marc. His response here online absolutely illustrates and reinforces our point for everyone reading to clearly see. If you have a problem, you can expect to be treated the same way, just as ALL of the other negative reviews have mentioned. His reactions, comments, bullying and attempts at intimidation are terrifying. He just won't stop. Just remember he will have your personal contact details. Do you want your family staying where this guy has the keys?? This is the most frightening reaction I have ever seen to a complaint ever. Terrifying."

"Please avoid, don't give this man a single penny of your hard earned money! First of all, can I just say the absolute atrocious attitude and complete lack of tact from Marc alone calls for this review! Not only did he immediately start getting annoyed at us for calling him, as if we were polluting his precious God given day, but he refused to even entertain the idea that he might be able to help when we called asking about our booking. I was appalled at the complete arrogance that this man had while dealing with a customer, as if what he said was law and all others were sorely mistaken. If you have even glanced at the Google reviews, you will know we are not the first to feel his wrath as he seems to have a generally impolite and incredulous attitude when it comes to any negative reviews, outright refusing to believe that anyone would stay at his humble abode and have a bad time, but also most often than not, being disgustingly prejudiced towards anyone that might show a hint of a foreign accent, but if you have any association with someone that is not quite "pure" he will band you together with them as if you have committed sins against king and country. If the man knew how to comfort a pillow I'd be impressed, but it seems he is as prickly as a cactus when it comes to customer relations. If I can give anyone reading this any advice, please stay somewhere else."
