"First timers here. Myself, my husband and two kiddies under the age of 4. Had a ball twice in one day. Beautiful clean beach with no obvious rubbish or bins for that matter but a fair amount of seaweed. Adequate carpark with two portaloos which we didn't use nor look into. No lifeguard on duty. Ramp onto beach for wheelchairs potentially. Great views of Benbulben and Aughris head here. Few dogs being walked. We were here when tide was out and rock pools were there to be investigated and when tide was in and the sea seemed choked with seaweed. Delighted we were staying within 20 minutes of here, it'll be a regular haunt while we're here. Worst bit about here: no bins. Best thing about here: the lost and found box: ingenious. One person's trash is another's treasure!!"
"Great beach to go to , especially if you have dogs."
"1.3 miles of sandy beach Dunmoran strand is a popular location. A bit off the beaten track it is never overcrowded and with ample parking each end with a pub and restaurant one end it is popular with walkers, surfers and everyone in between. It’s a beach that even when the tide is out it’s not a hike to get to the sea for a swim and with it’s gentle slope it’s perfect for young children. The only thing lacking are toilets and bins … but this seems to be that case on every Irish beach. With all beaches popular with dog walkers you will find some mess an irresponsible owner failed to pick up but in general I would say it’s clean. It’s a nice place for a walk, picnic or just to walk off some lunch from the Beach bar."
"Beautiful beach , but when it's a sunny day it's hard to get parking ,it would help if there was a bigger space for parking . The water is so clean , it's a well looked after beach .no rubbish on the sand . I'd advise anyone to go for a day out ."
