Spiddal Caravan & Camping Park , River Road, County Galway

"Fantastic three nights break to end the kids’ summer holidays. A beautiful quiet site with basic but very adequate services, especially appreciated the non token showers. The night sky was just wonderful. Such a peaceful site yet the kids felt free to have fun and use the playing field. Short drive to Spiddal village which had good access to shops, beaches and a harbour walk. Two adults with two children - 13 and 11 years."

"Very Family friendly, nicely space out sites. Toilets regularly cleaned (at least 3 times a day) & very friendly staff. Only drawback is that there’s only 1 toilet block, would be great to have a second block as there can be a queue for showers in the evenings. A small shop would be handy but it’s close to spiddal village."

"Stayed at this site one night during mine and my partners travels and found it enjoyable. The facilities on site were decent, basic, but all free and clean. The kitchen area and fridge was handy. I felt the price was suited but it would have been handier to have a shop a little closer by, but can't have everything. Overall, friendly staff, great location and will be back :)"

"Great campsite to visit. We stayed for two nights. There's a grass area for tents, then there's caravans etc aswell. At the bottom of the campsite there's a river which is nice to look at. The shower block is standard for campsites with showers and toilets. No hand driers were working when I went but that's not really a big issue for me. I didn't use the kitchen so can't really comment on that. The staff were really friendly. Would recommend if you're in the Spiddal/Galway area."

"Quiet location, 1km from village. Free showers which is good, toilets and facilities on site all need an upgrading as 50% of sinks in womens bathroom have no hot water . It very much felt like a basic camping site from the 80’s Staff are friendly and helpful but a few more amenities are required on site. Pity there is no shop on site and abandoned building needs to be finished and turned into something useful. Beautiful location for peace and quiet if you want to get away from it all. Price a little too high for what’s being offered."
