"A large group of us stayed in the valley house to celebrate our dear friend. The location was wonderful, the rooms were decorated beautifully and the beds were so comfortable. The food, all vegan, was great as was the service. A unique place to stay, with friendly staff, we had a fantastic weekend. Thank you Pat x"

"We had a wonderful unique stay here in this beautiful historic house on Achill Island at the weekend. Bed was really comfortable, Shower was lovely and warm, Light breakfast was really nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend and at a very reasonable price too."

"Amazing staff, very gentile and friendly. The hotel is super well maintained, and if you want to have a great irish experience to stay in a vintage irish hotel, this is the place. They also have a pub which they play live irish music which brings you into the irish roots even more."

"We arrived late in the evening to a friendly member of staff who showed us to our room. The room instantly smelled of damp and mustiness. It was like the artic. Walls had damp patches and cobwebs everywhere. Room was clean but the green security light on the ceiling kept us awake most of the night. It is for security and safety reasons we were told the next morning. Breakfast was basic but for a hostel expected. Driveway into the building was shocking. Like an obstacle course avoiding the potholes. We booked in for 2 nights but only stayed for 1. Says it all...place needs a major overhaul. AVOID"

"This place is unique and special. The hospitality and fun you will experience when you go to it is precious. The food is gorgeous and though there is no doubt that it is busy, there is a sense that the staff want you to have a good experience and are constantly keeping a good eye on you ( without being intrusive) , by that I mean, they make sure that no one waits for any great length of time to be served/have food orders taken etc. This is a place to unwind, enjoy a good atmosphere, great food and a warm and welcoming ambience. Music sessions make for busy nights so if you are eating I recommend booking a table before taking what in what promises to be a wonderful evening of fab music."
