Grattan House Holiday Apartments

"4-month stay in the apartments (August-December 2022), ideal location next to the beach anda the Prom and 20 minutes on foot from the city center of Galway. All kinds of facilities and services nearby (shopping, pharmacy, entertainment, restaurants...) in Salthill. Complete apartments, comfortable especially in the summer months (August-September) although a little humid during the winter, nothing that cannot be solved with good heating available. A bit expensive but in line with prices in Galway and Ireland given the housing shortage. Thanks to Sean Treacy for his kindness."

"Excessive price and poorly maintained facilities. We have stayed in more than one of these flats in the last few months, from August to December 2022. One of the times, my children suffered a mite allergy attack because of the dirt, especially because of the old carpet. Despite ventilating daily, we had to remove mould from walls and doors weekly because of the dampness. Who would think of putting the router on top of the old extractor fan! Not recommended unless you are in a desperate situation, which was our case. 2023/01/04 Answering to your comment, Mr. Sean Treacy, I'm surprised you don't remember that I shared these incidents with you. I did so by email and I have a record of all of them. However, I hope you will take my comments into account so that you can improve the facilities for future tenants. My son was almost seriously injured as the extractor fan fell on him while he was cooking. It would be very important that you reconsider the care you take in the treatment of your tenants and the facilities in each flat for their health, safety and well-being."

"Just spent the last couple of weeks in the Grattan House apartments in Salthill. Would highly recommend them and have already booked our next holiday in October here. They were spotlessly clean, very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Constant supply of hot water,super powerful shower,very comfortable beds, spacious rooms WiFi,tv ect. Fantastic shops and restaurants and the beautiful Salthill promenade literally outside or front door . Many thanks to the owner Sean and his son Cathal who could not have been more helpful to us during our stay We can't wait to go back in October."

"Wonderful spot. Great location, 3 minutes from the beach and a short walk from the centre of Salthill. Morton's supermarket just across the road and 20 minute walk to Galway city centre. Really nice apartment, cosy, clean, warm and well equipped. Very pleasant and professional service."
