"The Host Mary is FANTASTIC!!! very sweet and tender, she offered us the classic welcome tea and an amazing homemade breakfast. The accommodation is not the cleanest ... But in this case we have adapted to get to know Mary. Super central location. It obviously doesn't have a car park but this is solved with the cathedral car park (free in the evening until 11 am). High price compared to cleaning."
"Lovely hostess (very friendly elderly lady), great location (2min walk to city center)"
"Typically Irish house with soft carpet on the floor (hard to clean for sure). The landlady is a very nice lady in her 70s, hyperactive and very kind. The rooms, with bathroom, are a bit small but welcoming, the lady let us find the hot water bottle under the covers (at the end of June). The house is on the bank of a canal. Medium/low price (negotiated). Nothing exceptional but give it a try, you'll be fine."
"When we first arrived we were greeted by an amazing friendly older lady, the hostess Mary, and instantly felt like we were staying at our grandmothers house. The rooms were clean and well kept, as well as a very good size. They were stocked with magazines, books, and brochures for what to do in Galway. Breakfast was delicious and hand made by our hostess Mary, and we had a great view of Shops Street, as we're right just down the road from the middle of Galway City, about a 3 minutes walk to Eyre Square. During our trip I had unfortanfly twisted my ankle and Mary could not have been any more accommodating, giving me ice packs and offering my pain medications, as well as some lovely tea. She also gave me a cane to help me hobble around the house a little easier. When I come back to Galway and need a place to stay, this will be my first pick. The service is amazing and Mary is outstanding, I would suggest this B&B to anyone who comes to Galway. It was truly an amazing experience."
