"My 3 year old rescue lurcher stayed at Canine Country Club for 3 nights and I won’t be rushing back with her! She has visibly lost weight, which I was pretty shocked at considering it was only 3 nights. I completely understand she may have been off her food with nerves- but nobody could tell me anything about how she got on or if she had eaten anything in the 3 days (it doesn’t look like it). She was dehydrated and starving when we got her home. I had asked for a photo (to reassure us that she was okay/being looked after) while she was there and never received anything, and I don’t feel that was too much to ask. It was her first time to stay in a kennels and I was a little anxious bringing her in and I have to say, I was not reassured. All in all, she survived and will be back to herself soon I hope. The overall sense that I got was that they had too many dogs and cats and not enough staff to adequately look after them all. Any communication would have been most appreciated and would likely have changed the experience."
