"Mixed feelings on whether the Dyson hairdryer compensates for the tiniest hotel room I've ever seen, but generally great hotel, nice food, friendly service, perfect location! Not to mention a selection of alcohol bottles, crisps and Rennie in the room to top it off. Highly recommend!"
"Not worth the hype or the money unfortunately. Simple things like the robes in the room being paper thin and no slippers provided unless you ring down and ask (twice). Some of the staff were nice but most were rude and obnoxious. A group of 8 of us had a meal in Ryleighs, it was a set menu only, they ran out of a main course option and one of the wines. Several of us ordered steak and initially they arrived wrong (rare instead of medium etc.) By the time they fixed it other people's food had gone cold waiting. Usually I would tolerate the above but when paying 400+ for a one night stay in a hotel I expect much better!!"
"A fantastic stay at The Mayson in Dublin, the staff were exceptional, very polite, extremely helpful and friendly. The room was clean, well priced and so cosy. The shower was amazing, amenities spot on, location was perfect for the 3Arena and only a short walk to the Luas stop into the centre. Amazing hotel, very modern and cool, would definitely go again."
"If I could give this less than 1 star I would. I like drop a review cause I love to read reviews for anywhere I go and I’m really sad this can’t be more positive. It was my 3 year anniversary and I have booked the suite with the bath tub, the view, record player, and the added dinner basically the whole experience. Also this was our first time in Ireland we came to also see our friends in Belfast. This room you can imagine was costly, so after traveling all day and walking all over dublin we went to dinner which the rooftop restaurant 5 stars food was great staff was friendly. After such an amazing dinner we went to our room I tried to turn the tub on get some music going and things went wrong fast the record player did not have the correct equipment so it did not work. The tub did not drain any water, and some light fixtures did not works. We called the front desk and they were coming in and out of our room at 11:30 pm and it ended with 0 resolution so we wanted to deal with this in the morning and then we were told by Jenny that our dinner would be on them and instead of giving us a refund to come back to stay another night for a better experience. We mentioned to her we don’t know what our plans are with our friends but she stated to reach out to her if our plans changed so we did when we realized we could make it over and she was out of office and that’s fine but nothing she offered the rest of the hotel staff knew so they did not offer us a suite they offered a regular room for free… and/or a suite at 50% off and that was after we spoke to 4 people about our situation. To be very clear we paid for this bathtub romantic room and to be giving a regular room that was significantly cheaper was not a fair reimbursement by any means and I stated this in my email and was simply sent a sorry for the delay and the staff is looking into a room. This was after already having spoken to several people so they clearly did not communicate internally about our situation at all. I am currently waiting to be reimbursed more than just the dinner which was only $110 of our total. Considering all the issues we should be correctly reimbursed and I’m very worried they won’t even honor that, considering the terrible customer service they have giving us. To that I wanted to warn people of our experience and I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone I know personally. Other hotels that are closer to the center probably make a lot more sense anyone for walking around and enjoying Dublin."
