"Hi to all the Springfield Hotel staff I was at my daughters wedding on Wednesday 8th Feb and I am not exaggerating from start to finish everything went really very well. The staff could not do anymore for Amy & John. We stayed for 2 nights. if I could I would give the staff and the Hotel 6 stars. We had a great laugh with all the staff especially the breakfast and reception staff. The food at the wedding was A1. we then had bar food the following night and this was also top class. the grounds were lovely for the photos. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU all so much for making my daughter Amy & my new son in law John the best day ever and that is coming from all the guests also. Many thanks Tina"
"We attended a wedding here recently. Service at the reception was terrible. The staff were very young and inexperienced, one asked the entire table to choose between soup and a vol u vent when both were included with dinner. One guest had dietary requirements and told the staff 3 times he couldn't eat the starter they kept bringing. He wasn't given a dessert and wasn't offered an alternative. The standard of the food was average at best for a wedding reception. Not enough rolls for everyone at our table for everyone to have one with their soup. 3 people were left without a dessert and it wasn't until they returned to take away empty bowls from others that we said we hadn't been given one. Later in the evening they brought finger food ,I bit into a chicken goujon and it was pink inside. Avoid this place for your weeding if you want guests to have a nice experience their standards have dropped massively in recent years."
"Was here for the Xmas dinner dance and The Springfield was fantastic. The rooms are great, the staff are fantastic, from check in, to the bar, all the way in to the function room, everyone was friendly and professional. The whole evening was brilliant and I look forward to staying there again."
