"Worst B&B I've ever been to. The sheets were dirty and smelled just like if someone had a sleep in the bed 1 hour ago. The room was littered with used tissues. It was clearly not cleaned before I came in. The cups and spoons at disposal within the room weren't cleaned as well. The mattress was so hard I had back pains the entire following day. The shower was also cold. At this price, this is a complete scam. Not to mention the hosts: aggressive, condescending and talking about the guests in their back. My colleague had booked a room for 3 days and they moved his stuff everyday to another room without telling him. The last day they told him he will have to sleep on the couch in the living room and pay an extra for it as it is what they call the "emergency room". This is completely disrespectful and of course, they didn't refund his last night. Never, NEVER go there."
"If you were to look up the definition of “Bed and Breakfast” a picture of the Hazelwood house would be next to it. This was the BEST experience. Such pure kindness and hospitality. Hazelwood “accidentally” became a bed and breakfast 25 years ago. A large home with lots of spacious bedrooms started housing locals from the city, on coastal getaways. Frank and his wife have situated the rooms with everything you need, including cozy beds, good water pressure and even tea service in the room. The breakfast was delicious, traditional Irish continental style with the option to have eggs/ham/sausages done a la mode. Frank was a grandfatherly, generous, calm and funny host who picked us up AND dropped us off at the train. For less than €50 a night per person, this place was perfect."
"My husband and I visited Dublin for 3 days and we decided to stay in Howth: a beautiful, calm and friendly bed & breakfast, run by Roseleen and her husband Frank. The b&b is a short 20-minute walk from the harbour where you can take the train into Dublin (a quick 30-minute ride). Roseleen was kind enough to drop us off in the harbour and give us a tour of the neighbourhood. Filled with history, family photos and kindess, this place really felt like our grandmother’s house. We highly recommend it! Thank you for a lovely stay☺️"
"The stay was absolutely perfect. The place is lovely and located close enough to the main road in Howth village and that makes it ideal if you want to enjoy the area or if you simply want rest and relax. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Both owners are nice and friendly. Highly recommended."
"We spend a lovely time here! Howth is a beautiful spot not too far away from Dublin city and one can enjoy the best of both: The coast is stunning and in perfect walking distance from the B&B and so is the lovely village. And at the same time the city isn't too far either and the bus from the B&B takes you all the way there. Rosaleen and Frank are the most wonderful hosts who have your best interest at heart and try to help you with everything to ensure you the most pleasant stay possible."
