"Lovely trail, but due to no map or trail markers we got lost and after an hour ended up on the main road. If this happens, I'd recommend turning back through the woods because it's about the same amount of time walking on the roads, if not longer. Got directions & a lift back to our car from a very nice local couple which was lucky for us. They said that this sort of thing happens often."
"Nice walk, there's a little hill at the start but then it's not strenuous. Hiking boots recommended."
"Very nice wood walks, paths are rough in places, water channels in need of repair urgently."
"Nice size parking area lots of room, very quiet when I was there. For those not familiar with the trails check before you go....i did not and have a terrible tendency to explore any trail I find....so 2hrs later I eventually find my way back to the car....lol. Did love it though a beautiful scenic winding of pathways and routes through fabulous forestry....would advise hiking boots or appropriate footwear as some streams cross your path or become your path on some little trails. Wonderful place to explore, walk or experience the beauty of nature."
"Small loop takes about 50 minutes at a fast walking pace. Go east across the barrier at the car park and finish at the western end. Closed forest for start and end of the walk. Beautiful views of the Galtee mountain range in the middle. Very dry underfoot at this point in June."
