"An email I sent to hotel which wasn't responded to. On Sunday at 9am I attended the swimming pool with my 2 year old son. The pool was absolutely freezing and we didn't stay in long. After our shower I noticed the hair dryer was out of order so I asked at reception if there was a spare hairdryer. The receptionist kindly gave me one, but unfortunately there was no plug in the changing rooms so I had to blow dry his hair at the lobby area, thankfully it was quiet, as this was quite an embarrassing situation. The hair dryer was also blowing freezing air and wasn't working properly. My parents then came into meet us for breakfast, they live nearby we were not staying over night. My dad told the lady at the breakfast area that we were not hotel guests and we just simply wanted breakfast, she shrugged and waved to just sit where ever we liked. We asked for a high chair for my son and we were given one that was absolutely filthy. We had to then ask another staff member to clean it, and she was very rude and didn't seem impressed by our request and she didn't even clean it satisfactorily. We had to constantly ask for milk, what's the coffee situation etc and the trays were all also filthy. There was an overall, "we don't care" attitude from all the staff serving breakfast and the food also wasn't great. We told the receptionist on the way out that we were not happy with everything that happened and to pass on the info to management which she agreed she would. I was very disheartened to pay €30 for breakfast that wasn't enjoyable and €5 for swimming which wasn't a pleasant experience. Working in different industries over the years I feel its important to highlight feedback where needed and I honestly hope this is reviewed and taken on board, and resolved. For the hotels sake. Unfortunately we won't be returning again, until we know there's been an improvement in quality and service. I know this hasn't always been the case as I have attended many dinner events here in the past which have been very enjoyable."
"Just returned from a very pleasant stay. My room was clean, spacious, well fitted and comfortable with a view overlooking the golf course. Meals in the restaurant (though the menu was limited) were good and reasonably priced, with a good atmosphere. I did not try the leisure facilities, but they looked extremely well appointed. What stood out for me were the the staff. Without exception, everyone I met was accommodating, friendly, efficient, professional and most pleasant. The only reasons to give four stars not five is the continental breakfast was disappointing( though this is understandable as the hotel was quiet) also, over 4 days there was a constant buzzing noise in the background from my room (104) Maybe heating system etc. Otherwise, an excellent stay."
"My daughter and I had a lovely 1 night stay in this lovely hotel. Had lovely Turkey dinner in the bar followed by delicious cheesecake! Of cappuccinos to follow. Really enjoyed our stay. All staff were friendly and helpful. Prices very reasonable! Mary"
