"What can I say. This definitely caters to a fancier type of person than me, but they didn't treat us that way. The service is incredible. Beds are very comfortable and the views are great. I also highly recommend the Falconry experience. Worth every Euro!"

"This is a beautiful castle, where your every need is catered to, and then some. The property is stunning and the quality of every interaction with staff was flawless! Every single person we interacted with went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and our stay was comfortable. And, of course, you’re staying in a castle! Simply amazing!"

"Beautiful hotel with such rich history! They have done an amazing job keeping as much original or period as possible while still being super clean and updated with modern conveniences. Super comfy rooms with great beds and well laid out, large bathrooms. The service and friendliness of everyone we encountered was some of the best we’ve ever experienced. Everyone seems to really love working there and many staff have been there for decades. We met 3 who have worked there for 30 years! Dermot was especially kind and thoughtful and went out of his way to make us feel like the only guest there each time he came across us. The food was also amazing with some traditional and some unique items including plenty of vegetarian options. I cannot recommend Dromoland Castle Hotel enough! We wish we had stayed longer!"

"Have been here once before for afternoon tea and found it all round wonderful! Unfortunately our latest afternoon tea was a little bit disappointing. 90% of the cakes were lemon/lime flavoured, like we were given whatever they had left in the kitchen lol..... The other 10% was that plain chocolate cake. Savoury stuff was great though! However (and here's the real disappointment!) we did not finish everything, and as it was good food which we had paid for we requested to have the remaining food in to-go boxes. They took the cake stands, to box what was on them, but left our scones on the table (so we had to grab them ourselves and throw them in the bags they handed us... A bit embarrassing...). Additionally we discovered when we got home that they had not boxed ANY of the remaining savoury items for us, which was so annoying/sad! There were about 5 sandwiches left that they did not give us back, and given that the cakes were all citrus flavoured the savoury bits honestly were the nicer part of the leftovers to look forward to.... Aside from these details, the service was quite good, and the staff polite and genial, and it was pleasant dining experience. Still, I think we'll try someplace different next time."
