Lakeside Holiday Park , Mountshannon, County Clare

"I am very disappoint In the way I have been treated we came on Saturday thinking the place I reserved 3 months ago were we camped the first time.would be there for us only to be told it was a parking only and that I would have to be moved to the family section and then to be told that I must be in my bed by 12 am and that I could not sit outside (not making any noise at all) yet there were other campers out walking about and talking till 3am then to be told that I must leave the site the next day and that I was not respectful to the owner. And that was the reason why we were asked to leave. I was respectful to him and to other campers. (We all were in the group respectful ) and I find it very offencive that he would say that to me. We did nothing wrong to you (the park) or to any other campers.I will be giving a very bad review and stating the way we were treated by the owner of the park and I will be telling other never to attend your caravan park ."

"Absolutely loved every minute of our visit to this site, it is so clean.Staff are lovely and friendly showers are brilliant there is a wee village about 10 mins away with a centre, chemist, off license and other shops. You can hire life jacks and tennis rackets so saves loads of place in the car. The water in the lake is so clear with a jumping board for all. We would definitely recommend this place. And we will definitely be back."

"Me and my family are just back from a 2 week stay. We originally had book in for a week and the place was that nice we asked for a second week and the staff managed to sort us with a different pitch and we stayed. Its set it such a nice place and when the sun is out the lake is perfect for young kids it's a beautiful place to stay"

"This is a great site for families, couples and solo travellers. Very friendly atmosphere, great facilities and water sports available onsite. You can bring your own or hire there . Really safe site for children to play in with a calm relaxed atmosphere all through the site."

"Very large campsite with some pitches by the water's edge and some further back and sheltered from any wind coming off the lake. Peaceful site with quite good facilities - kept clean and tidy. Pitches mostly well spaced out. Some work going on but that didn't interfere with us at all. You have to book a time for the shower because of Covid restrictions. Woodland pathways all over the place which was nice. We would come back again if we were visiting the area. Stress-free place to come and unwind."
