"Booked the Ritz for one night, on arrival greeted with a smile and checked in, room was spotless as bathroom. Had a great night overall. Staff were very Friendly to me, kind and a fine breakfast following morning. Highly recommended."

"Absolutely beautiful restaurant and bar. I haven't stayed in the hotel but the restaurant is lovely. We had lunch there recently, and managed to nab a cozy little booth right beside a roaring fire place. So cozy. The interior is really nice, take an immediate right going in the front doors and the bar restaurant is in the door to the right. There's plenty of seating around the bar and booths with tables on the floor. Customers wouldn't exactly be spaced apart of it was busy but it wasn't busy for us so it was great. Off beyond the bar to the left as you go in is another room with more seating. The menu was nice and varied for a bar restaurant, and the formatting of the menu looked basic but it was filled with quirky little ways of categorising the different types of foods. There's a nice big range to choose from. Every element of each dish is clearly explained in detail which is great, and the prices are reasonable. In fact, I would have paid more! The food was incredible. I like a good chicken fillet burger but I was a bit nervous regarding the contents of the one on the menu, because I wouldn't have been too into blue cheese and I thought that strawberry chutney on a burger would be strange, but oh my god it all worked so well together. I couldn't believe how good it was. And it looked attractive too. The cheese was yummy, which surprised me, and the fruitiness of the strawberry chutney with the spiced chicken fillet worked soooooo well. The side salad was yummy but different, with pickled veg as well as salad leaves. A big helping of chunky chips. It was a great meal, I'd recommend going just for that. And I'd recommend the chicken fillet burger if you were to go. The staff were all very nice, and attentive. Definitely going to go again and I will recommend this place in the future."

"We stopped for a quick lunch on Good Friday. It was quiet and not crowded. The fish and chips were excellent. The locals at the bar were quite the entertainment- although I don’t think that was their intention. Felt like I was watching anBritish sitcom from the 50s."
