"You can smell the sea from here (can be smelly in the summer)"
"One of the most gorgeous places in Ireland."
"Such a beautiful place to go for a stroll. It is also quite famous because people tend to go for a swim there or even for a jog. Anyway, don't forget to kick the stone at the end of the promenade as the tradition indicates."
"Beautiful, two mile walk along the coastline. It’s less than a two mile walk from Eyre Square. Beautiful views of the northern Atlantic, and plenty of shops, pubs, and restaurants to stop at. Toward the end of the promenade, there is a diving platform about two stories high. Plenty of swimmers in the cold evening water. I call them crazy, but to each his own. I recommend walking out here instead of driving out here. A cinema recently opened and the traffic along the promenade road was backed up in the evening when we were walking back to town."
"Beautiful views of Galway Bay and The Aran Islands. There are wonderful shops and great restaurants to try and of course many pubs to drink in, some with live music; such as The Dail. Terrific people to meet in these places as well."
