"What a beautiful place to stop. Surrounded by Marsh land with a huge variety of birds and if you're lucky, you may see seals. Castle entrance is free and you can climb up to the top and get amazing views across the countryside."
"I've loved this place since I discovered it over 25 years ago and every time I go back it gets better. Stunning views of the Shannon from the top floor. It has plenty to explore. Full access to 5 floors on a spectacular spiral staircase. Free admission. Definitely put this on your must see list."
"Interesting place to see. You can climb up pretty high, and look around from every corner, angle. Well maintained place with historic informations for the tourists."
"A beautiful castle on the Shannon estuary, built in the 1500's. Was there on a lovely clear sunny day and had great views from the top. Well worth visiting if you're near Ballylongford. The car park is small though, only fits about seven cars but it's usually quiet."
