Reviews
"Great food, great value! A wonderful little find just off the motorway and near the Suir Valley Railway. Lovely food, freshly cooked. Other reviews mentioned concerns with staff and cleanliness but these all seem to be taken care of. The staff were very friendly and chatty, especially with a fussy five year old! Free parking and a playground right next to the cafe. I would definitely call here instead of a motorway services."
"Has potential, cafe was empty when I arrived, went to a table which was dirty, so moved. Got a crepe for my child with Nutella, the boy working bought me down a jar of chocolate spread? Which really should be decanted in to a little dish to prevent cross contamination. God knows how many people used the jar before hand. Staff ( two young boys) need more training in customer service, ie) talking to the customers more to tell them where to get the cutlery, the milk for the tea or to offer would you like milk with your tea, or any sauce with your food. There was an ant on the counter when I was paying also. Maybe instead of chatting when the place is empty, the staff could clean the dirty tables/counter."
"We had a really excellent lunch there,4 different dishes all very good, in particular the Thai curries were clearly freshly cooked and well presented They were full and busy and while some people were new, they were very clearly being trained in and doing their best, as we all know getting staff is a big problem for business' at the moment and everyone has to start somewhere. Everyone was working hard, the boss was very hands on and very friendly and enthusiastic, look forward to going back as thrre is a good and varied menu I would highly recommend and its a very welcome addition to Kilmeaden village. It's presently open 7 days a week so they definatley deserve support in my opinion"
"Has potential to be a great spot, but hiring school kids and giving them zero training is not going to cut it."
"Decent breakfast, coffee wasnt great both times, young fella serving tables doesn’t even speak to any customer just looks at yah with the food in his hands"
