"We booked the restaurant because it had very good reviews. I can happily say those 5 star reviews are spot on. We had to do a bit of googling to understand some descriptions on the menu but the food was amazing. We had all 3 courses plus a fantastic bottle of Reisling and a few cocktails. The baileys coffee had a generous portion of baileys which says a lot. I would recommend ordering a side with the main course. We didn't but next time we will. Sitting watching your food being cooked a few meters away is exciting. The staff were friendly and smiled a lot. It never ceases to amaze me that the attitude of the staff can make or break your enjoyment of a nice dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and there is no doubt whatsoever that we will return again. The way the restaurant is laid out makes it feel very spacious, so it does not feel crowded like so many restaurants that seem to feel the need to cram in as many tables as possible. The bill at the end of the night reflected quite well the experience we had. Am sure if we cut out the alcohol the food itself is good value. If you are looking for a restaurant where you want to go and spend an hour or two in a relaxed, friendly and unhurried atmosphere, then I strongly recommend Dubh."

"We had a lovely time at Dubh, we booked a table for four and each one of us enjoyed our meal. The atmosphere is really relaxed, it's very laid back and comfortable. The service was excellent too, there was a small mix up with our order and the staff were so obliging and kind. Highly recommend, the menu was not traditional but I loved trying something new. Great selection of wines too, obviously a lot of care and thought has gone into this place, the attention to detail is wonderful. From the decor to the presentation of the food- it is all gorgeous."
