"Very cute café with casual but sophisticated food (4.5/5 Green Stars) We were very happy to have chosen this spot for lunch in Adare. We had a flat white, Buddha bowl, potato tortilla, and soup (pea, I think). Everything was delicious, nutritious, and very filling and we found the staff to be very friendly. The coffee was high-quality and well-made. The Buddha bowl was an assortment of grilled halloumi, quinoa, roasted sweet potato, hummus, pickles and chickpeas – very flavorful. Probably our favorite things were the soup and potato tortilla (the Spanish omelet kind of tortilla, not the Mexican bready kind), which had an amazing-tasting slide salad. Highly recommended! Note that the café is closed for their annual break from November 28 to December 14. The café was opened in July 2020 by David and Petra Hayes (unfortunate timing!) who have impressive resumes, including Adare Manor and the Lime Tree Restaurant in Kenmare. It already has a big reputation (as TayTay would say), being voted Best Café in Munster in the Irish Restaurant Awards 2022. The name, Lógr, comes from the Czech word for coffee grounds, incidentally, and the cafe seats about 24 (now I sound like Wikipedia…). I’m giving Café Lógr 4.5 out of 5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact, for these reasons: • More vegetarian options than an average spot in Munster and they’re good enough to entice meat eaters to switch, I think. • Their non-veggie options are among the more sustainable choices that you can find – freshly caught salmon, free-range chicken. • Sources are named for many of their ingredients either on the menu or in profiles, online. David even told me where he bought his salad greens (a local farm) – I asked because the simple salad was just so good. • It seems that they selected sustainable wines, like Domaine de Mus. • Single origin, direct-trade coffee from Cloudpicker in Dublin. Four kinds of plant-based milk available."
"Café Lógr is a really nice up market cafe based in Adare village. I stopped off here for lunch while passing through and was very impressed. It's got a very up market atmosphere about this cafe and also food and the services to compliment it. The staff were very welcoming, pleasant & observant. I got an open chicken sandwich with fries and it was delicious. Also got a coffee for takeaway which was really nice for my drive home. It was all very nice but it was on the expensive side of a meal. So I would take this into consideration if you were on a budget. But I definitely could recommend Café Lógr to anyone looking for food or a coffee while in or passing through Adare."
"Back again! Great food and service as usual. No matter breakfast or lunch even just a coffee and scone (they do the best scone so far we ever had!). You can't fault it. Highly recommended!"
"Lovely little place with a distinctly continental feel. Excellent coffee and cakes. Worth seeking out if passing through Adare and want to take a break. Sorry, I ate the cake and drank some of the coffee before taking a picture."
"I love that this is a family run establishment. The chef, David, and his wife, Petra, are a dream team. They also offer catering for special occasions, which we had the pleasure of experiencing for a wedding this week. Everything was delicious! It was so good we had to stop by their cafe before we left town. I had the broccoli soup, which blew my mind, super creamy and flavorful. You can tell they put quality ingredients into all the dishes. The chicken curry was sweet and tender. I also had some ginger tea, which had real ginger in it, not just powder. Don't miss this gem if you're visiting Adare!"
