"The host said the house was built in the 1840s. It's been beautifully maintained since then- it's just gorgeous in a very homey way. There are enough lights and heaters to make it very comfortable even on a blustery fall day. Alan is a charming host with lots of advice. I spent a happy hour photographing trees, flowers, chicken and sheep"

"Alan is the sweetest and most observant and kind host. He goes beyond just providing a beautiful room and stay, he makes sure you have an enjoyable and special experience in Kilkenny. He even drove us into town and showed us a few of his favorite places and the directions to other areas. His home is beautiful and charming and provides such a quaint and comforting experience. He really loves his job and takes great pride in his town and home. The breakfast is wonderful- Alan's Irish breakfast was my favorite!"
