"We just loved our short stay here. The hosts were incredibly gracious. Our room was clean, and comfortably cozy with a private ensuite. Complimentary breakfast in the morning was perfect! Warm homemade scones that I already miss. The beautiful garden was serene and peaceful. We would gladly stay here on our next trip through Ireland."
"The place was quite peaceful and homely. We liked the host's hospitality and kindness. We would choose them again if we go back to Kilkenny."
"Lovely house, overly breakfast. Would have been nice to have tea and coffee facilities in your room for that last cup of tea or the early morning one although there was tea coffee etc in the dining room which doubled up as a guest lounge. Very welcoming and approachable."
"Hosts were not as welcoming as hosts in other b & b’s that we stayed at. At times it felt like we were an inconvenience rather than guests. Rooms were outdated but clean. Supplies in rooms (toilet paper, towels, soap) were provided at a bare minimum and were not replenished unless we sought them out. There were no common areas to socialize.... except the dining area. This was a problem since our teenagers were placed in a room on a separate floor (despite our request to have adjoining rooms). Tv in room was no bigger than a computer screen and channels were minimal. Main door was always locked and we only had two keys for the 7 of us. Halls were kept dark so it was difficult to get back to our rooms even at 9:00. Breakfast times were not accommodating if you need to leave before 7:30. We had to leave at 7:00 am to catch a flight and were provided with only cold cereal, fruit, and juice. There was nothing warm such as coffee or toast nor any croissants, scones, or muffins. The hosts did not get out of bed to help check out or say goodbye. All in all, it was ok (location was nice) but was inferior to other b & b’s in the same price range."
"This was a very nice home. The hosts were really nice and accommodating. They gave good recommendations on places in town for us to eat and have a drink. The location makes for a healthy 20-25 min walk to town. The rooms can be a little cramped (there were 3 people in my party) and the bathroom a little small, but I would stay here again. Also the Irish breakfast in the morning was really good. Careful though: There are two Maiden Hill roads here. This B&B is located at the more southern one, right before the roundabout. The correct address is listed here on Google Maps."
