Lyrath Estate Hotel , Kilkenny, County Kilkenny R95 F685

"Just back from two nights in Lyrath with 3 long time friends. It is a beautiful hotel in a lovely setting. The staff are all helpful and The room had a lovely view and the bathroom used Ritual products which I use at home. The lobby and bar area are very elegant areas with a lovely window. We had dinner on one night and it was excellent. I had scallops to start and duck as main course and both were faultless. I had a treatment in the spa and I thought the therapist was brilliant. Some times a therapist will make me feel guilty for not using the correct products / not using them often enough etc but Jacinta was very down to earth and she did recommend 2 products which I was delighted about. Because she was so natural and nice I trusted her advice. I bought one and the other was out of stock but I will be passing the hotel early June and I’ll get it then. If I had any small criticism it’s that there’s nothing exceptional about the breakfast. On the other hand they had a separate area for gluten free bead etc for coeliacs like myself which is a big plus . I will definitely return."

"Stayed here with my partner for our “babymoon”. We had the spa booked for the day we arrived. We both got treatments and loved every minute. When we were done in the spa we were told they upgraded our room to a suite and our luggage had already been dropped up. The room was gorgeous! Also had food in The Grill. Good options on the menu and everything we got tasted amazing. Was very busy, so service could have been a bit better but nothing to fault the place on. Overall, we loved the Lyrath. We had to rush home the next morning so gutted we didn’t get to appreciate the many walks and views around the hotel. Will definitely be back and have already booked for our parents to stay for a gift. Would recommend to anyone."

"Nice Hotel for a weekend away. Staff really make the experience, cant praise them highly enough. Everyone was so friendly, chatty and attentive! Only critique would be the price point on food and drinks is a little steep, particularly if you wish to remain onsite for the weekend. Leisure facilities are nice with a good sized pool, jacuzzi & Sauna. Grounds are really nice to walk too."

"What a fabulous place! The staff were utterly amazing, so helpful, friendly and obviously well-trained! The rooms are spacious, luxurious and the bathrooms are amazing. The hotel was easy to find, the concierge will park your car, which is extremely useful if its raining! Short drive from Kilkenny if you have any urgent shopping requirements, or need a dress altering at the last minute (I highly recommend The Zip Yard). Great food, from breakfast through to bar food, with an excellent gluten free offering."
