"Very good golf course with nice views across the bay on some holes. It's built in a quarry so lots of steep drops and cut stone. Great variety of holes with driveable par 4's, challenging holes and stunning holes. Course is really well maintained and a credit to the staff. The only downside is value for money, its priced a little high for green fees and especially buggy hire in relation to other courses just as good."
"Full disclosure - I am a novice golfer hitting over 100. I had heard a lot about Cork Golf Club, about how good it was and how tough it was. I was a bit conditioned I suppose when I tee'd off at a work golf society in July 2019. Wow! What a course. It is so well laid out, the greens and fairways are amazing and the view of the middle harbour is amazing. It's a repurposed quarry and the front 9 are almost links like in places. If you are good it tests you well. If you are like me it's great fun - prepare to lose some balls. I won closest to the pin on the 13th with 6 feet 6 inches which I birdied. I can see why members are so proud of this course. The food was great after as was the Moretti beer. The pro shop is well stocked with my new favourite golf brand, Puma, well represented. Great Ping clubs too. I was ast here with my Dad in 1983 to see Seve Ballesteros. I was delighted to see a plaque marking the occasion. My drive was 189 yards for. Lots of room for improvement!"
"I was visitor from Toronto, Canada and played at Cork Golf Club on Aug31, 2018. It was my first time in Cork and first time playing on an old Links style course in Ireland. Love it! I was greeted with my name on the club portable signage board upon arrival at the entrance and a free bucket of range balls. The Pro shop is very friendly and the club members are very nice. The 18 holes all have different layout, all are challenging and well designed except for hole 1 and 18. The holes have amazing river view or view to the historic stone/rocky hills. Quite pleasant and relaxing to walk and love playing the round in a windy and misty rain typical irish condition. I will play again when I come back next year."
"This course is a hidden gem. It has a little bit of everything- some history, parkland, a quarry, estuary, flat holes, hills, a castle, cool bunkering, and some undulating greens. I was pleasantly surprised by the shots that kept coming up and the procession of good holes."
