"I've nothing but positive things to say about The Anglers. I'd a delicious pizza-goats cheese, pesto, caramelised red onion and walnuts. The dessert wasn't something that I've seen other places so we decided to share it, and it tasted something like an exotic luxurious granola. I'd a hot chocolate also which went down well. The food was full of flavour and well cooked, a great combination of ingredients. The service was 10 out of 10. All credit to the staff. I loved the music although arguably it was a little too loud-Jack Johnson, Van Morrison, Florence and The Machine, Ingrid Michaelson, Paolo Nutini etc. There was a lovely atmosphere and there's a car park opposite The Anglers. I'd definitely recommend The Anglers."

"Nice place for a sunny day enjoying good food. The venue is beautiful and finely taken care of. Food was nice and tasty and really good portions. Awesome environment. The only thing to improve is the access from the parking because you have to cross the road and rraffic can be dangerous."

"We went to the 1919 upstairs and were truly impressed. The food was amazing, the service was great, the decor is very nice. We want to try everything on the menu so will be going back for sure. It would be nice if the music upstairs was different to the downstairs music as there is a bit of a different atmosphere. That didn't fault our experience at all, nothing did. We also got takeaway pizza and cocktails a week later. Absolutely amazing again, everything was perfect and delicious. Staff were very friendly and helped bring the drinks to our car. Already counting down the days to go back again, definitely a family favourite."
