"Truly needs an update but I'm sure they won't as the location is good. Very outdated, but mostly clean. Owner was not happy when we asked for Kleenex, told us to use toilet paper. No wash cloths, typical for smaller places. Older gentleman associated with the B&B was unfriendly and basically rude when we were just taking a picture of their map of Ireland. Of all the places we stayed over 12 days, this was by far the least friendly and most beat up."

They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. "We recently were booked for a 5 night stay at Ardee House. The room in which we stayed has been altered and looks nothing like it does online. The bed did not have a box spring under rhe mattress and made it horribly uncomfortable. We both woke up with back pain. We got ready for our day in the outdated, dirty bathroom that had mold around the sink drain then went downstairs for breakfast. It was quite limited and poorly prepared. We requested to move to a different room but none were available and decided to check out and find somewhere else to stay. They refused to refund any money we paid for the other 4 nights. I gave one star because the location was good. We stayed the next 4 nights at a 4 star hotel down the street that had a better location with an amazing breakfast for a great price."

"The reviews are all true! Wonderful location walkable to downtown, professionally run, super clean, and comfortable quiet room. Breakfast was fabulous and worth it - so much variety, great quantity, hot made-to-order. Highly recommend!"
