"If this is a four-star hotel, I’m a genie. We stayed in the apartment-style rooms I believe. They had a queen sized bed and two twins in the little room adjacent. The beds were very cheap. There were nicks and paint chipping on the walls and stains in the carpeting. The staff were mostly friendly, with the exception of a few waitstaff at the morning breakfast who would rather be anywhere else (don’t blame them). If you have a room overlooking the courtyard, bring some earplugs. Especially on the weekend, the music goes well into 1-2AM and shakes your hotel room. Unless you’ll be out all night and just be falling into a bed, book somewhere else."
"Way better than expected. The pictures on the website don't do this hotel justice. It's luxurious, chic and comfortable although it is conveniently in the center of Killarney, it is quiet enough to be able to sleep well. The rooms I booked was very spacious, chic but not cold, and very well cleaned, which means that the housekeepers do a great job: being near the road and traffic usually makes the rooms dusty. The bathroom was modern, comfortable, had an ample walk-in shower with a "spring spray" head and a classical hand held head and spotless. All the staff is very nice, helpful and attentive. From the receptionists to the staff at the pub, restaurant and breakfast, all were impeccable. I will definitely book here again and I couldn't recommend it enough."
"I will not be returning to this hotel after a 2 night stay with my family. We were in a self catering apartment which was spacious and fairly priced but the room was very dated and not very clean. The first night we noticed 1-2 ants crawling in the bedroom and by the second night we had killed about 20 ants and my mother woke up with one crawling on her arm. There was very loud music outside of our room until 12:00 and 2 of the radiators were making loud clicking sounds and we had to turn them off to get any sleep. After notifying front desk and showing the housekeeping manager the ants in our room we were offered no compensation or apology. Really unacceptable customer service and overall experience."
"Went for bank holiday weekend to relax and enjoy some away time, instead of this we got the worse service and treatment. 2 nights in a row we had people banging at our doors, trying our door knobs and screaming and shouting all night. After first night we reported this to the reception, they said that i should call the receptiom if this happens again.said and done, next night neighbours again got drunk and same issues again.we called reception, somebody arrived 10 minutes later asking them if all.ok and they said yes and the night porter left.after that hell uleashed because they were so bad. I couldnt sleep all night. To add that was sitting in the room around 5 oclock and room service knocked at the door and i didnt even have time to go to open the door or say anything because she entered the room. How is this possible? When i reported this as well the receptionist was very rude and she said these are the rules. Last morning, my boyfriend almost got kicked out from.the staff because they implied that our room doesnt have breakfast included, which wasnt true, but they got the numbers wrong. However she did not offered any apologies after she checked with reception that indeed we had breakfast included. Overall a very bad experience, which implies the staff and service.very unprofessional and i wouldnt recommend just based on this aspect and of course too pricey for what they offer. At least if the service wouldve been impecable i wouldnt say anything about the price. On the other, hand good location."
"Excellent hotel. Ideal for single, couples and families, groups etc. Ideal location so close to the main shopping street and other amenities. Lovely friendly professional staff. Free carpark and use of the car park during your stay up until 1pm on the day of your departure. The rooms are impeccably clean. The beds are really comfy and the showers are next level. Great price for a fab location in the center of Killarney town Will definitely book Scotts Hotel again."
