"Been there a few times, staff are always polite, and there is a spacious, comfortable waiting area. However, I recently took my car in for a winter health check and literally as I parked up at home after a neighbour told me a brake light was out. Moments after that I noticed a side light was also out - I'm no statistician but I'm pretty sure the likelihood of one, let alone two, bulbs going in the 5 minutes it took me to drive home are 0%. They literally replaced the bulb I told them was out and that seems to be as far as it went? Oh well, at least it was a free health check. I guess you get what you 'pay' for."

"I came in for a tire inspection not wanting any work done but when I next heard from one of the staff they had done a puncture repair on one of my tyres. I did not ask them to do this and they just went ahead and did it. I was not informed of any work that needed to be done it was just done and they expected me to pay for it I did not mind paying for it However if they had told me 1st that would have been more professional. Once I got the car back I looked in the glove Box to make sure that they had put my looking weel nut back they did but unfortunately I had a bag of crisps in the car which someone had eaten whilst they were working on my car it was very unprofessional. I would not recommend going to this kwik fit as it is the most unprofessional place I have ever been to I much prefer halfords I will not make this mistake again."

"I would definitely not recommend this garage as I don't think it is a reliable place. I went there in September for a MOT test and they failed my car on several major defects when in fact it was established that there was only one defect that was related to two aged tyres that I have replaced. Because Kwik Fit Bitterne identified additional issues that were non existent I had to spend time waiting for an appointment and a consultation with another garage. My local specialist garage advised me that the additional issues were not real. Firstly, Kwik Fit advised that my windscreen wiper does not clear the windscreen effectively when it was fine and only needed a bit of cleaning. Secondly, they also diagnosed an issue related to a fluid leak harmful to the environment, once again this was not the case as it was non existent. Thirdly, Kwik Fit wrote that a body component was damaged and likely to cause injury in the front. This was again confirmed as untrue. Once I obtained this reassurance from my local garage that all these so called major defects were not real I represented my car for a MOT retest. After this retest I got my MOT certificate but strangely my heater fan became terribly noisy just after collecting my car from them. It was established that debris were found inside the heater box and I have incurred considerable costs because of it. I am not sure this was a coincidence."
