"I wouldn't even use these guys to replace a dust cap, but they probably just won't do it anyways or know how to. 3 times I came here for an enginge issue, now the first time was completely my fault and I hadn't properly booked. The second time I booked a 'Repairs Check', which apparently was a 'Health check' on a arrival and they wouldn't look at my car that needs 'Repairing'. So my car needed a diagnostic, which only one person there could do and was busy. So the person who was going to do a 'health check' couldn't do a diagnostic????? Fortunately 1 of the members of staff was actually helpful and booked me in 2 weeks later for a diagnostic and said would try repair on the same day. This time I turn up, to 0 greeting apart from 2 very confused gents, to which one guy introduced himself as the 'manager' and said the guy called in sick. Also he couldn't legally do it himself because it's a turbo? So their manager can't legally fix a car (doesn't know how to), the guy who you speak to on arrival was just pure useless. Had no intentions of ever helping and was just genuinely clueless. Understably I left quite upset as this was the 3rd wasted trip (this time I waited 2 weeks and specifically took a day's holiday) and all I received was a sarcastic 'cya later mate' from their 'manager'. Halfords I strongly suggest you train your manager, if he can't fix (or even look at) a car then whats the point? Cheers for the experience, it's laughable how bad this place is."

"ripped me off, told me my issue was either a throttle body needing replaced or a maf sensor, so they said do the throttle body as they was more sure it was that, paid them nearly 500 quid, the problem never resolved, then took car to another reputable garage , told them the issue, paid 450 quid for maf sensor replacement, and again nothing resolved, turned out neither was the issue, people these guys will rip you off, they will always say after any repairs , oh tidy motor mate , keep hold of that, meanwhile you've paid hundreds for something that never was a problem, should be reported to trading standards, frauds plain and simple"

"I recently bought a second hand car and I thought it's best to get it checked out, so I booked a major service. I dropped my car off before mid-day and it was ready by 16:30. They called me with a quote for all the things that needed fixing/replacing and offered advice on what's urgent and what can wait a bit longer because they probably realised I am not very car savvy. I'm very happy with the service, so once my MOT is up, I'll definitely come to this garage."
