"Arrived today at 1pm. 2 people on their computers, ignoring all customers. Asked a woman with reddish hair if she would be able to help for a minute. Her response was to look at her screen, back at me, again at her screen and laugh "Ok, I suppose i can help you". So, I asked her about back splashes and explained what I had ordered as a countertop , and was she told me to order a back splash from them involved waiting 4 weeks for delivery. This, however, was not what I was told back in Nov, with Geraldine, when i picked out cupboards and countertops. This woman then laughed again and said that of course that's always the way. I explained our fitter works closely with them and he hadn't said that either. She "kindly" explained that our fitter doesn't work with them, but rather, is an independent trader. More laughter from herself. Honestly, I can't believe how overtly rude she was!! Laughing in my face!!!!!! I had, back in Nov decided to obtain my sink, taps, cooker and hood from The Panelling Centre but after todays experience (10/03/23) I will only purchase kitchen presses and countertop as my fitter will come in 2 weeks and he has ordered already. Forget the back splash, I will order tiles instead from somewhere else!!! I have also spent the day ordering sink, taps and everything else from other stores who actually valued me as a customer. Looking at previous reviews, this is an ongoing situation with staff who do NOT want to interact with customers, but would rather stare at their computer. How can management see these reviews and ignore it?????? I will NEVER, EVER return to the Panelling Centre and will urge everyone I know not to shop there. Disgusting "customer service"."
"Have visited The Panelling Centre in Deansgrage twice as it is our fitter's supplier. Consistent experience on both occasions. A handful of staff barely make eye contact when you enter the showroom but quickly return to studiously staring at their computers. So you wander around the showroom, and God forbid you have a question - you are on your own! The first time, having felt like we just interrupting the manager, who sighed and looked back and forth between her monitor and us before joining us on the floor. It turned out she told us a significant number of the kitchen taps we were looking in the displays were no longer in stock. That was explained away as all that sort of stuff "is so dated and went out with the Arc". Nice to know the showroom display was half-full of discontinued stock. Today was a joke, same reception upon entering the showroom. There were only 3 or 4 other customers in the showroom. A handful of staff stared at their monitors as if they had drawn five numbers in the Lotto and were waiting on the final number to see if they had scooped the jackpot. We went to the showroom to confirm our selection of worktop, and we wanted to find out, on instruction from our fitter, if they carried the matching splash back was in stock. So we approached a woman behind a PC when I asked for help, she shrugged her shoulder, looked around, looked at me, back to the PC, back to looking about, back at me, shrugged again and said, " I suppose so." It was a waste of time. She did not have a clue. She made a bunch of statements of the obvious, and eventually went and interrupted another studious staff member behind a PC, who seem to know either. So, she suggested we walk down to the trade counter at their warehouse about 200m down the road and ask them. "We carry a limited range of splash backs for some of the worktops we have in stock stock in the warehouse. They'll know." I was temped to suggest to her that the ideal solution would be for her or any of the other staff actually to know, or failing that, that she pick up the phone and ask the warehouse staff herself, rather than asking a customer to walk 200 yards down the street to find out what they had in stock. So, we walked down to the storeroom, and the last there immediately told us they only ever carried two splashbacks in stock. Neither were what we were looking for. I would suggest the Panelling Centre remove all staff who seem disinterested in engaging customers, pretending to be busy on the PCs. Stick them on in an office out the back or someplace else. Get some staff who want to help customers and are more knowledgeable about stock. Honestly, but for the fact our fitter uses them as a supplier, I would not buy a washer from this place. They don't deserve the business."
"Oh my god! The kitchen and other rooms you could build from these products is stunning, stoves that are more than just appliances. Refrigerators for life. Wow."
"I have to say there a great bunch of people to deal with ever so polite and nothing is to much trouble. I dealt with a lad called blaine and everything I needed and if it wasn't in stock it was ordered within 48 hrs and was in stock and rang me to tell me it was there . Would happily recommend this company to anyone thanks for all your help and advice."
"Shocked by the unfriendliness. Nobody approached us in spite of the fact that we were the only customers and there were at least three staff. Eventually approached a staff member and she was totally unhelpful and visibly disinterested. Awful experience. Won't be back."
