"Absolutely appalled by the comments made by a staff member (possibly manager tonight) I have eaten in this restaurant many times. Ordered the platter for main. Cracked open a tiger prawn that was totally rancid and dark grey. I politely got up from my table to inform the staff member as there was tables in very close proximity to ours and didn’t want to embarrass the staff or establishment by asking them to smell and inspect the tiger prawns. My other guest that dined with me nearly vomited when he smelt them. Staff member returned from kitchen to tell me “chef said the food is perfect and fresh” in a totally condescending manner. I was extremely embarrassed at this stage as both tables either side of us had tuned in to what was going on. I was offered something else. I replied I can’t eat anything else now as felt sick after such a disgusting condition of shellfish was served to me. He continued to argue the fact the chef said they were perfect. He then walked off. Another staff member collected the remaining food, I asked her to smell what was left of the tiger prawn. She grimaced when smelt it. Apologised and walked off. The manager returned I explained to him that his staff member nearly got sick smelling the food. His reply was “maybe you’re just full”. Implying we ordered too much food and looking for an excuse not to pay for the meal. I was absolutely disgusted at this comment and totally embarrassed. I asked for the bill. Never arrived. Asked again and he said while walking away from us “it’s on the house”. Making sure that customers heard. Clearly trying to make me look like a moocher looking for a free meal. I replied saying I don’t want a free meal. I wanted to pay out of embarrassment. I will never ever return to this establishment. The last time I visited I spent €630 for a family birthday meal. Disgusting treatment. I hope I’m not sick after eating such rancid food. The table beside me also commented they smelt it also… But as per previous reviews (which I should have checked) the customer is always wrong here."

"Got the surf and turf tower for two. We weren't disappointed. There were items on that plate I've never seen before but tried everything and all that got sent back were bones and shells.10/10. Nice cosy comfortable restaurant. Will 100% be back very soon"
