"Stayed in a powered caravan site near the front entrance. Weather was cold but we couldn’t use our caravan air conditioner to warm our caravan because twice I turned it on and twice the caravan park electricity pole tripped - not my caravan. It occurred because my Dometic air conditioner system was not compatible to the parks Clipsal RCD. This also happened to another caravan owner near me. Only one toilet and shower block, which was situated halfway around the other side of the caravan park to where my site was. No night security street lights near where my caravan was parked. Extremely dark at night which could lead to potential thefts as the caravan park does not have security gates or fences. At the time it was about $69 per night which was way too expensive when compared to a big4 or similar family caravan park chain charging the same rate. Ripped off by Borough of Queenscliff. Our stay was off season so I would hate to be staying there in peak season. I cannot recommend this caravan park."
"Booked 3 sites 12 months in advance for the Queenscliff Rod Run only to have them cancelled due the sites being classified as "Native Vegetation Areas". Took a cruise down there over the Christmas holidays to find people camping on our sites. Apparently "Native Vegetation Areas" apply only when the peak school holiday period is over? We now won't be attending an annual event that we have been part of for years and years. Really poor form guys. Is this really how you treat your customers? Can't say I'd recommend this park to others."
"From the start staff had put down wrong dates for our booking and the cabin we booked was no longer available. Then female staff member was rude to my wife. Put us in another cabin and were told we would receive a discount because of their mistake. On checkout we were charged full price. Ove Cook top did not work had to buy own lighter to ignite. We come to this park once a year and will not be returning. Disgraceful"
"Booked a site for 2 days and arrived to find someone had extended their stay and we had to be moved, however provided with options to relocate. Many sites are not level and a lot would be hard to access if the park was fully occupied with many sites currently closed due to dangerous trees. There is free access for public to walk through the park to the playing fields and for cars to park along those set up around the oval on game days. Located within walking distance to town Amenities clean. We are staying out of peak time and feel it is expensive for what you get - $50 pn for powered site and access to an amenity block."
"Stayed for 5 nights in cabin, while friends stayed in caravans. Cabin was clean and tidy. Park is close and handy to town centre but way too expensive now. !! Prices have jumped since last year. Park is looking a bit neglected and needs some maintenance and updating.! One toilet block did not require a code number and the public coming in from beach were using it.! Don't think I will stay again next year.!!"
