"Lovely open fire in the bar area. Tables and chairs out the front (no smoking). Very large beer garden and smoking area out the back. Bar staff were very knowledgeable and there is a wide selection of local and not so local craft beers and ciders."

"We went as a car club the place was fantastic and the atmosphere was even better. It was busy and ordering took a long time but the food was worth the wait and overall it was an awesome experience I highly recommend the Mount Macedon hotel."

"Disappointing - the service was almost non existent and we really had to grab the attention of the staff for them to even come to our table on multiple occasions, the menu is very basic and the rooms are quite dark and gloomy. The staff seemed to have no interest in the patrons, and almost seemed frustrated throughout the day. (It wasn’t busy either with minimal diners) The toilets seemed like they hadn’t been cleaned in a while!!! Such a pity because the location is amazing, the best part of the entire experience."
