"First time we stayed about 2 years was great. Took my partner there to propose and she said yes, unfortunately spa didn't work. Tried calling reception about 730pm and no answer, then called the hotel itself and left a message.....long story short we had no working spa which was very disappointing. When we checked out the receptionist told us the spas have been playing up and it's possibly due to the cold, she will get maintainence to look at it. Very disappointed as having a spa was the main reason we went there. Doubtful if we will go back a third time."

"Shocking experience, outdated and old. Staff untrained and just and overall bad weekend away. So disappointed. The rooms are so old , we had a gas leak and taken whole weekend to repair. Don’t waste your time to go here. We called the 24 hour manager, and he wasn’t available because he doesn’t work late????? Get your act together. The photos on website doesn’t justify how bad this place is! Stay away!!"

"Booked here over the Easter break as I can see that there’s an indoor pool for the kids. The view of the room was fantastic unfortunately hygiene of the place was low. The heated pool as advised wasn’t warm and the pool in itself doesn’t seem maintained at all as there’s insects and spiders in there - the base of the pool looked unclean and dirty. The room was hygiene was not great. For the price paid it was only ok.. positive is the view and the close location."

"There are amazing views here, good sized rooms, and heating was on when I arrived which was nice HOWEVER the water was being "tested" (so bottled water provided), there was an unpleasant smell from each drain, the spa had brown flakes in it after jets turned on, TV reception poor and kept cutting out, several spiders in room, and hotel staff only available 9am-5pm (no help when things don't work). I also paid for a "king size" bed and got two singles pushed together. I would not recommend."

"Advertised as a hotel, but it turned out to be a motel and a poor one at that. While the view from the room was nice, that was the only good thing about this place. Upon entering the room, we noticed a laminated card that said “our water is being tested please drink these complimentary bottles” next to two measly 600ml bottles of water. This is completely unacceptable for a hotel or motel to not have clean drinking water readily available in the room. Reading other reviews, I found out that this has been an ongoing issue for at least three months, which is appalling. To make matters worse, we were excited to try out the spa bath, only to find out that the water was barely lukewarm. We spent 10 minutes trying to fill the bath, but the water was coming out of the faucet stone cold. This completely ruined the whole reason we booked here in the first place. It seems like the hot water system can't keep up with the occupancy or just doesn't work at all. To add insult to injury, we couldn't even take a shower because of the lack of hot water for the remainder of the night. The grounds were in disrepair and looked shabby, which was a big letdown. The bed was uncomfortable, and the TV was better suited to a caravan than a ‘hotel’. If you need any help from reception, forget about it. They only operate strict hours and then leave you stranded. This is not what I expect from a hotel. Overall, I would never stay here again. The lack of clean drinking water, hot water, and basic amenities make this place a complete disappointment. Save your money and stay somewhere else."
