"Always busy, very popular which says a lot about it, the staff are very friendly and efficient, the restaurant and bar is excellent and the menus are varied with prices that won't break the bank, The Hotel has a very good leisure centre and a good amount of parking space at the back of the hotel. Overall a very pleasant experience.."
"Came back here for the St. Patrick’s week celebration with a group of 122 people. 191 stayed at the Castle Hotel and were treated to the best accommodations, food and care anywhere. Rory Buckley and his staff couldn’t have been more accommodating or kind. Not one glitch or issue. No request was too big or went unattended too. Our group ranged from 6 years old to 82 and everyone one was treated like royalty."
"We spent a night here while traveling the ring of Kerry and it was even better than expected. Nothing negative here, 5/5. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff was more than friendly, even had a pleasant night at the hotel bar. And boy, the breakfast was amazing! Would definitely come here again if I'm in the region. Thank you @Castle Hotel!"
"Booked one of the suites. Room was pretty good. Hotel itself is very nice, we had a lovely check-in. They use old fashion keys rather than keycards on the door. It has a shower in the bath rather than separately on its own. Room was spacious. We were going to eat in the bar but decided against it as wanted dinner in a restaurant. Just down the road is Granvilles which is highly recommended. Breakfast is great, they do a tasty fry. There is parking behind the hotel but it can be hard enough to get a space in the middle of the day. Edit: On my second stay a few weeks later, I booked one of the rooms that have the Jacuzzi bathtub. I would take that room over the suite anyday. Staff remembered us on our second time and everything was just great again."
"The hotel was very comfortable and staff were really helpful however, I was disappointed with the lack of options for vegetarians on the menu, I asked if a simple egg and cheese omelette could be made and was told that it couldn't because it wasn't on their menu. I then asked if the pasta on the children's menu could be sized up suitable for an adult, when my wife received this dish it was bland and lacked any imagination, the sauce was thin and it lacked simple ingredients like onion and garlic and it was also cold, I ordered a burger which consisted of a small patty, one piece of lettuce, one slice of tomato and a couple of rings of onion and very little of the hotels famed burger sauce!! and when I received it, it was also cold so I sent both "meals" back, the pasta was worse when it came back, it was tough and unappetising, when I received my burger back it was still cold and had only been heated under a grill with the bun still on it! This meant the bun was like a rock and totally inedible, with the exception of breakfast this all lead to a very disappointing overnight stay."
