"The once monthly Northern Soul afternoon is awesome. The price of the drinks is outrageous. The people who are on charge of pricing the bar should hang their heads in shame"
"Rooms were quite cute. You have a stove and a microwave. The bed was very small, both in width as well as length. The couch was very uncomfortable as well. There is no staff available, so you can only make inquiries by calling and hoping it can be resolved through the phone. The rooms were very clean and the location is near a big supermarket as well as stoke station."
"The room itself wasn't too bad, decent size, kitchen area and good shower space. However you'd need some decent earplugs to actually sleep through the night, constant traffic, rubbish removal right outside your window and the walls being very thin you can hear EVERYTHING . I have agreed a late check out, £20 for extra two hours. That's fine, however due to the weather warnings I ended up checking out a day before to make sure I can get home. Today I received a charge on my card for the late check out despite checking out the day before! Because apparently I didn't let them know that I am checking out....even though I have handed the card back to the lady at the reception. Honestly there are so many better places to stop in Stoke do not waste your money. I will update whether or not I actually received my £50 back or whether there are any "damages" that I have apparently done. (If you decide to stop make sure you record or take pictures of the room as you arrive, I got mine so we shall see) On a positive note the restaurant below the hotel is lovely! Friendly staff and very nice food, I'd definitely recommend."
"This amazing little place was a brilliant find. We came up to Alton Towers for the weekend so was only looking for a cheap little place to stay.... however found this absolute gem. The room was great. Modern and quirky, very clean, all essentials you’d need included, fridge, cutlery, even a microwave! Very impressed. The weekend we stayed they had live music outside, gorgeous little tent things for seating area with benches aswell, small table fires, blankets, fairy lights, hand made pizza. It really was well thought out and beautiful. With the new Covid restrictions (everyone doing their best) we had to download an app and use table service (just like most places) the place was quite busy but we still only wait 5 mins for drinks (I’ve waited longer at the bar if I’m honest) We also ate in the potbank cafe for our evening meal. Again no complaints the staff were very friendly, we had Aadam as our waiter, he was really nice, very helpful. I’m gluten free (can be a complete pain when eating out) but both members we spoke to (I think the 2nd was ‘Boss lady’ lol) were so helpful, each took the time to actually go back to the kitchen and ask for me regarding the food. Over all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. They have everything you need on site and are just round the corner for everything else. We will definitely be staying again Thanks Potbank x"
