"Nice clean comfortable room. Sadly didn't expect rats running round between the main hotel and the family block. Staff advised that pest control are there every week. It clearly isn't working! Bins are next to the courtyard, doors left open. Never again. It horrified me as it's my phobia. Totally horrific for me."
"We stayed for one night with a coach party. Would probably not recommend it. The main corridors had some questionable staining on the carpets. Once in the room, we noticed a terrible smell of cigarette smoke, but we were that tired from the trip we didn't question it. There was a few funny marks on the wall also. Shower was nice and hot and breakfast was plentiful and enjoyable. Whole hotel could do with a revamp as looks very dated."
"The whole hotel is clean, tidy and recently decorated. The staff are friendly and attentive, and there is plenty of very convenient parking. Breakfast was good. we would book again. on the negative side our bed was tired and lumpy and a lot of the floor boards in our room and the surrounding rooms were squeaky but neither affected our sleep."
"After a 9 hour drive from the North of Scotland we looked forward to a meal and bed, that first night the room was so hot due to the radiator stuck full open due to no thermostat being fitted. We had the windows open which due to the noise off the road exacerbated the lack of sleep. The next morning we went to the swimming pool to try and unwind but then to be charged 6pp to use the pool (and empty hot tub). We spoke to the receptionist regarding the radiator and a supposed maintenance person looked at the radiator which did not get fixed, spoke to the receptionist again regarding this and was told he could not fit a replacement thermostat, FYI this is a 2 second job to screw on a unit. The attitude and inability to resolve this matter meant a second night of no sleep in a furnace of a bedroom. Just what we needed for a 9 hour drive home. Stayed in many Best Western hotels and this by far is the arm pit of them all. Hope they learn some manners and customer services and look after their guests."
"Staff were friendly, good sized car park. Rooms were ok, nothing special and not the cleanest. Where our room was located we had a night club not far from us and the music was blasting all night until early hours. We had lights on the walls outside the windows which were shining through as the curtains don’t cover the full window. Windows are really thin to the point where you can hear people’s conversations walking past. Other family members also stayed at the hotel but in a different part and they all said they couldn’t hear the music and it was dead silent in the night so if you are going to stay here try to avoid a room close to the roads. Other than that it was an average stay for the price in a city centre. Didn’t use the bar or restaurant as we were leaving early and returning around 11 at night."
