"It has been very disappointing to live here. You pay very expensive rent and what you get from this place is so little. First of all, after paying so much money for the rent, you need to pay 6 euros for the laundry. On the website, it says everything is included. But it is a lie. you will spend so much money just doing the laundry. The laundry, there are only 6 washers or something for more than 200 students. you always end up waiting for it to be vacant. and then, if you want to move out from the housing earlier than your plan, you will be charged 100 euros even though you find someone to take over your place by yourself. It is not even mentioned in the contract. they just charge you 100 euros because they want to do it. They should really put that in the contract at the first place just to let us know if they charge 100 euros. This is supposed to be an accommodation for students. However, they always take advantage of the situation where students are desperate to find a place to live in Dublin. When I lived there, there was always some maintenance going on. I remember one time, maintenance guys came to my room and opened my door without knocking or saying anything. My privacy was violated. this is not even one time. it happened several times. Just imagine you are relaxing in your room, and just random guys barge into your room suddenly. I was very shocked by this happening few times. this is against the contract. They always do some maintenance work, and some people come to your room while you are away. so uncomfortable. If this is affordable student accommodation, it is understandable. And the heating is not really working in the winter. it is turned off automatically after a few hours. and you wake up being so cold in the morning. and fire alarm is easily turned on easily and keeps beeping super super loud at night. They organize too many events and spend money on them. I think they should at lease use this money to lower the rent or improve the facility. After paying so much, it is just such a disappointment. Just with the housing crisis in Dublin, they do not have any issues finding students living there so they do not care about the wellbeing of students. I don't recommend it here to live. (Some staffs working there are super nice. but the management is not generally good at all.)"
"Honestly im surprised with all the reviews that states that this place isnt good . The staff is amazing katerina michael and barnie are amazing they helped me with everything they were so kind and welcoming Ive been in many students accommodation but I’ve never seen nicer and more welcoming staff . I truly thank all the staff for being very supportive and making it easier for me to stay here ❤️"
"Is probably of the grossest student housing accommodations I've have been in. The showers don't drain, and upon submitting a maintenance request twice, no one ever come to fix it. They make you clean your room before you leave, but when I arrived at my dorm, my sheets had been used and had hair and bread crumbs in them. So I'm not sure how clean they want it! I friend of mine found a bug of some sort crawling on her bed as well. 0/10 not a slay"
"Spent nine months in Beckett House. Great spot very central. The Celt bar is only a two minute walk. Definitely the best roof top in Dublin and also a good cinema room and gym. Big special shootout to the staff especially Stephen, Wayne Michael and Bernie who were were very helpful and accommodating. Also big shoutout to security guard John. Me and the lads had a great time would highly recommend."
"In this pretty expensive city, I was so glad to find something affordable and brand new. You have to get used to the magnetic key system for all the various doors, but once you figure it out, it’s pretty easy. Each apartment block has a shared kitchen with all amenities. The door falls automatically, close with quite a loud bang. There are various public areas, a movie room, a self-service washing room, a chill-out area with lots of cosy seating options and a billiard table. On the top floor, there is a great rooftop terrace and study rooms. It is close enough to the city centre, yet far enough away to have a quiet night. There are two nice cafes around the corner, One Society is particularly excellent. The other one, Insomnia Cafe, is all right as well."
