"This place has a clever scam going with Airbnb -- when you get there and realize you've paid for a hotel but it's just a stuffy dorm room and complain to the staff, they will tell you to contact Airbnb, and then when you ask Airbnb to find you a new place they will tell you to complain to the host...such a nightmare. My best friend booked this place for me on Airbnb as a birthday present, she spent $2000 so that I could stay here for 10 nights. It was so disappointing I nearly cried when I arrived — the floor was dirty, the bed did not feel like it had a mattress at all, but just a boxspring. :/ I have slept on many firm mattresses, futons, camping mats and this was nothing like that, I could feel the wooden parts in the boxspring. It was so painful and literally the worst part of this place. I could barely sleep on it. It was clear that other guests were also shocked when they arrived, when I would walk through the entry way I would always see people arriving looking disappointed and arguing with the staff. On the listing it also said that there was a "shared kitchen" but that was completely false, there were signs warning anyone but staff to keep out of the kitchen, and when I complained that the listing was inaccurate they were basically like "oh, sorry that was wrong." As others have said there was no trash can or even a trash bag in the room or the bathroom...I don't know what others did but I just left a pile of trash on the ground when I left. The bathroom light was also on a timer and would turn off after a minute, which made it challenging to take a shower without the lights turning off...I had to leave my phone flashlight on, haha. It really is funny how awful this place was, I stayed here a few months ago but have been meaning to write a review to warn others to stay away. Other things to note are that it had none of the basic amenities that one would expect with any hotel/motel room or Airbnb rental...no microwave, no kettle, no coffeemaker, no mini fridge, absolutely nothing. It was impossible for me to get help or a refund from Airbnb so in the end I decided to endure it but was *so* happy when it was time to leave. Hopefully whoever reads this can avoid this place altogether!"
"Got what we paid for. The place was pretty clean when we got there, check in was painless and the people were friendly. There was no fitted sheet which I thought was a little weird, it was just a top sheet, and the bed wasn't the most comfortable but did the trick. No trash can but the front desk said they were coming in a few days. Very walkable to all the sites, max 30 min, and no excessively loud noises."
"We had a good experience at Altido‘s accomodation. It‘s within a student living complex, with access to a gym a rooftop and a shared kitchen. Good location. We had all we needed in the apartment. It could‘ve been a bit cleaner, was still some hairs lying around and handsoap and a toilet brush would‘ve been nice. Overall good value for money compared to the general prices in Dublin. (I still wonder why they are so extremly high) Very friendly staff and easy check in experience. We were one of the first guests at the Altido accomodation, thus I assume minor details can still be improved."
"Beware - False Advertisement in Dublin (32 Thomas Street) We checked into our room and it was filthy and unfurnished. There were no bed sheets / covers, missing bath towels, one sheet of toilet paper, and leftover trash from the previous stay. Clearly not ready for use… We were then escorted into the second room, same thing. When we finally got to the third room, it was furnished but far from any of the pictures we saw on Altido’s website. Pillows and towels are the cheapest and thinnest one could buy, and there wasn’t even a trash can. We decided this wasn’t worth the price, despite the deal and the “reviews” saying it was quite good, and found other accommodations. No refund was given - we were in the room for maybe 3 minutes."
